Chris Brown Up Against a Real Opponent: The President of LA Boxing

Chris Brown may be facing some legal troubles lately stemming from his row with Rihanna, but he's also facing a pugilistic problem too.

According to FOXNews.com, martial arts expert Anthony Geisler, president of LA Boxing, has publicly challenged Chris Brown to a fight.

According to Geisler, he has created a group, "I Want to Fight Chris Brown" on the social networking site, Facebook.

As this story went to press, the group is 98 members strong and growing.

Geisler, 31, gained prominence as an award winning martial arts owner and entrepreneur. In 2002, Geisler bought the run-down LA Boxing gym- borrowing against his own home in the process- and turned it into a multi-million dollar enterprise. A bio page on San Gabriel Valley's Small Business Development Page Website describes him as a 1999 graduate of the University of Southern California MBA program.

Earlier this month, Brown, 19, was arrested on charges of criminal threats and assault after police responded to a domestic disturbance call involving Brown and a female friend. The woman later revealed herself to be R&B sensation Rihanna. According to published reports, the singer had several bite marks in addition to facial contusions.

Brown has since issued a public apology for the incident, describing himself as 'saddened' by the abuse his former lover suffered.

Despite the PR nightmare that Brown has incurred, several high profile stars have come to his defense, including Terence Howard, who described the beating as 'Just a part of life, man.' Interestingly, Howard himself was the defendant in a similar assault case several years ago. In 2002, he was arrested for terroristic threats and simple assault after he broke into his ex wife's home and punched her twice.

In addition, Aubrey O'Day, singer and Playboy centerfold turned reality star, stepped up in defense of Brown, saying that "you never really know what happens between people, and until you do, you don't judge."
