Think You Know Internet Marketing? The Fair Media Council Thinks Not

Since the Internet went mainstream over ten years ago, thousands have flocked to the Web to market their wares. But what they don't know may hurt them. Never fear, the Fair Media Council is coming to the rescue!

The council is hosting a two hour workshop on fund-raising and social media for business and non-profit employees.

The session, entitled, "Everything You Know Re: Marketing on the Net Is Completely, Utterly and Embarrassingly Wrong," will take place March 26, 2009 between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Plainview, New York. The information session will be presented by TheCelebrityCafe.com's Dominick Miserandino.

Tickets for the event are $40 for Council members, and $65 for non-members. Walk-ins pay an additional $10 at the door. Continental breakfast is included.

A portion of the tickets are tax deductible.

Miserandino, founder and editor of TheCelebrityCafe.com, has been in charge of the Web site since 1995. The entertainment news site is constantly ranked among the top three entertainment sites by search engine Google, and receives an estimated 4.8 million unique viewers per month.

The Fair Media Council is a non-profit, 501(c)3 that advocates for quality news coverage and educates the community on issues affecting local news coverage.
