Wrestler Drug-Dealer Actor: Not Acting in Real-Life Drug Charges

A man who plays a steroid dealer in the film, "The Wrestler," is facing real-life steroid charges.

The actor who played an anabolic steroid dealer in the Oscar nominated film, The Wrestler, is facing real-life drug charges.

Scott Siegel, 34, has been arrested on drug distribution and assault charges after police found 1,500 bottles believed to contain anabolic steroids in his home, BBC News reports.

The Daily News reports that authorities were following Siegel Wednesday night, finding him parked in a car outside his parents' home in Westchester County. After insulting police, he drove away, returning later only to be arrested.

Siegel tried to escape, jumping in another car before getting caught by police after a short chase. The Daily News reports Glen Spinner, a detective with the New Rochelle Police Department, said the steroids and between $30,000 and $70,000 in cash were found stashed in his parents' home.
