Nicole Richie and Joel Madden Expecting Baby Number 2

Socialite Nicole Richie and boyfriend Joel Madden of Good Charlotte are expecting their second child, People.com reports. Richie gave birth to their first child, daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden, on Jan. 11 of last year.

In a cover story with People, Richie said that the birth of Harlow helped her leave behind her old party girl ways for a more relaxed lifestyle. "She gives life a whole new meaning," said Richie.

Madden announced the couple's new addition on Good Charlotte's Web site. A message to fans, titled "Better than winning an Oscar," said, "I am so happy to tell everyone that Harlow is going to be a big sister! God has truly blessed my family. Hope [you're] all feeling as good as I am right now."

Richie and Joel are not married but have been dating since December 2006, E! Online reports.
