New Conor Oberst Album Out in May
Conor Oberst, front man of Bright Eyes, announced he will release a new album this May, Spin.com reports. The album, titled Outer South, is Oberst's second album with the Mystic Valley Band, to be released through Merge Records and debut on May 5. His first non-Bright Eyes album with the Mystic Valley Band was the self-titled Conor Oberst. The album dropped in 2008 and received positive reviews.
Although no songs have been officially released, Oberst played one track of the album, titled "Nikorette," on Late Night with Conan O'Brien last November.
Outer South was recorded in Tornillo, Texas in November and December of 2008. Spin.com reports that Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band have six shows scheduled for April, which are listed below.
