Rapper N.O.R.E. Arrested in Florida--In a Burger Joint No Less!
Victor Santiago may be better known to his fans as Noreaga, but for a brief moment Monday he was simply another perp with a serial number.
According to the authorities in Miami Beach, Mr. Santiago--he goes by the name N.O.R.E. now, by the way--yelled at staff and customers at the local Fatburger, shredding a bouquet of flowers and throwing yellow liquid at a customer.
Mr. Santiago faces charges of misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct. As he was being hauled away, he screamed, "Do you know who I am!?!"
Mr. Santiago was booked and released. On his Twitter account, the 31-year-old rapper and New York native disputed the police's claims, saying, "No flowers were involved" in the incident and claiming, "I am way 2 grown 2 be locked up in jail!"
It is unknown whether he has retained counsel. More updates as developments warrant.
