Richter to Join O'Brien on "The Tonight Show"

Former "Late Night" co-host, Andy Richter, will be "The Tonight Show" announcer.

Late Night with Conan O'Brien fans have something else to look forward to when O'Brien takes The Tonight Show stage. Former Late Night co-host, Andy Richter, will join O'Brien in his new gig. Richter will be the show's new announcer and will take part in some of the comedy sketches. O'Brien told TV Week that he and Richter "have a proven chemistry that will be an incredible asset to The Tonight Show." He joked, "I'm looking forward to working with Andy on a daily basis again, particularly since he owes me $300."

Richter was the last non-musical guest on Late Night with Conan O'Brien when it finished its 16-year run in New York last Friday.

O'Brien and Richter will also be joined by Late Night musicians Max Weinberg and the Max Weinberg 7 when their Tonight Show run begins on June 1.
