Megan Fox Single Again
Despite a two-year engagement, stars Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox are calling it quits before the wedding, according to US Weekly.
The magazine reports that the couple split this week in its newest issue. Austin Green had recently seen the resurrection of post-"90210" career, but had made enemies as a result of his relationship with new sex symbol Fox.
An insider told the magazine that the couple's relationship "had run its course" and that the two had split amicably, hoping to remain friends.
The couple got together prior to becoming famous. Fox and Austin Green met in 2004 and were engaged in 2006, when Fox was an unknown actress and Austin Green searching for work post-"90210." A source of controversy appeared over the age difference between the two, with Austin Green being 35, making for a 13-year age gap between he and 22-year-old Fox.
Since then, the two have grown in fame. Austin Green found a new role on television in "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," though the show now faces an unsteady future due to low ratings and a poor Friday night slot.
Fox found fame in a starring role in the film "Transformers," the first on her list of roles as a sex symbol. The actress will reprise her role for this summer's sequel to "Transformers," and hold her first leading role in the horror film "Jennifer's Body."
The broken engagement will most likely cause Fox's sex symbol status to rise as male fans will be thrilled with the news of the single star.
