David Beckham is George Clooney's New Tenant

Soccer star David Beckham is packing his bags and renting out actor George Clooney's Italian villa.

ABS-CBN News reported Beckham is using the villa by Lake Como while Clooney is away at work. Recently, Clooney visited refugee camps in Sudan's war-torn Darfur region.

According to Hello! magazine, Beckham and Clooney were introduced at Giorgio Armani's Met Ball in New York last year.

The pair became closer when the soccer star moved to Italy earlier this year. The "Ocean's Eleven" actor offered to be a tour guide for Beckham and introduce him to people.

Currently, Clooney finished filming a special ER episode that will air on March 12, People reported. Beckham, on the other hand, has been playing for AC Milan in Italy.

Beckham admitted to ASB-CBN News that he looked up to Clooney in order to come to terms with his gray hair.

"I've noticed a bit of grey, but as long as it's George Clooney grey I don't mind," said the soccer star. "George is one of the most handsome men in the world."
