No Doubt to Play on "Gossip Girl" Episode

No Doubt, the rock band led by Gwen Stefani, announced on their Web site that they will be appearing on the television show, Gossip Girl, MTV News reports. Their guest appearance will occur on the show's season finale, which airs May 11. No Doubt will cover the '80s hit, "Stand and Deliver," by Adam and the Ants.

No Doubt is the first major band to perform on Gossip Girl. However, the show is known for it's eclectic soundtrack, pushing several up-and-coming artists into the spotlight, such as MGMT and the Virgins.

Reuters News reports that the band is in the studio working on a new album, which will be their first record together since 2001's Rock Steady.

Gwen Stefani has been busy perusing a successful solo career and the other members also have been perusing side projects. While there is no announced release date for the album, the band did announce a 45-city summer tour that will kick off May 3 at the Bamboozle Festival in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
