Keira Knightley to Play a Clone
MSN Movie News reports that Keira Knightley has signed on to play a clone in an upcoming sci-fi movie called Never Let Me Go.
According to Variety magazine, Knightley will play a girl growing up in a boarding school who has no contact or knowledge of the outside world until she discovers she is a clone made for organ donation.
This role is dramatically different from the period dramas in which Knightley often stars. She has appeared in Pride & Prejudice, Atonement, and most recently, The Duchess. Even though it was action-packed, Pirates of the Caribbean can also be considered a period piece.
One Hour Photo director Mark Romanek will direct the film that will also star Andrew Garfield and Carey Mulligan.
Never Let Me Go will begin filming in April in London and Norfolk, England.
