Bachelor Backlash

A surprise change of bride brings backlash to Bachelor, Jason Mesnick.

Bachelor, Jason Mesnick, stunned fans when he dumped his reality TV show fiancee, Melissa, for runner-up, Molly. But, MSNBC reports that Melissa could have seen this coming. Access Hollywood has recovered numerous personal e-mails between Mesnick and Melissa. In the e-mails, Melissa expresses her frustration following the "After the Rose" special.

"Last night didn't go NEAR how I thought . . . I still can't believe how you can't give reasons other than 'It changed.' . . . You know as well as I do that you didn't give 100 percent to me or the relationship. And I don't understand how you can walk away form something without giving it your all," said Melissa in an e-mail dated Jan. 19. "But I am walking away knowing I did."

In an interview with People, Mesnick said his actions were "part of the deal" in his contract and accepts no personal responsibility for his actions.

"The producers had a lot to do with it. I am so sorry. This is so horrible," Mesnick wrote.

Melissa tells Mesnick to "own his actions" and "stop blaming the process."

Maybe she's lucky Mesnick didn't pick her after all. ExtraTV reports Mesnick has received major backlash for his choice. So what can we look forward to on the next season? ExtraTV reports that fan favorite and 3rd runner-up Jillian Harris has been dubbed "The New Bachelorette." Hopefully she will be less of a flake than Mesnick! Fans can catch the new season starting in May.
