Brenda Song Wins Lawsuit over Escort Service Ad

“The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” star won a lawsuit.
Disney Star, Brenda Song of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, is reported to have won a $100,000 lawsuit, according to Radar Online. The lawsuit was against Vibe Media, Inc., who used an unauthorized picture from Song’s Web site for an escort agency advertisement. The advertisement was displayed in the back of L.A. Weekly.
In a statement, Song said that as a role model, she had to take a stand.
“As a role model to millions of young people, I feel I have to take a stand against this company in regard to its exploitation of my image,” she said.
The defendant of the lawsuit was Vanessa Senna, who was accused of taking the photo from the Internet and using it in the advertisement, according to a January 26 article by eonline.com. They are now reporting that Senna has agreed to pay $16,000 in damages. The amount must be paid by December 1 or she will risk owing Song the $100,000 maximum.
