U2 Announces World Tour
U2 has announced a world tour promoting their new album, No Line on the Horizon. More details will be announced March 9, but so far it has been reported the tour will kick off in June 30 in Barcelona, Billboard.com reports.
"We're very excited about the idea to go on the road with this album," said the Edge. "It's an album that I think is going to translate so well to the live context. The songs we've tried in rehearsal are sounding fantastic, so that's got everyone really fired up."
Spin.com reports that U2 will have a stage with 360 degrees of rotation, enabling them to connect with every corner of the audience. American fans need not worry. While U2 will spend the summer in Europe, the American leg of the tour starts September 12 in Chicago.
Billboard reports tour profits are expected to soar. The last time they hit the road with 2005-2007's "Vertigo," the band earned $389 million, just second to the Rolling Stone's "A Bigger Bang."
