Dakota Fanning Will Play Vampire in "New Moon"
The actress will play vampire Jane in the movie.
It is officially confirmed that Dakota Fanning is going to star in the Twilight sequel, New Moon. The former child star will play Jane, a member of ancient Italy's evil Volturi.
The vampires residing in Volterra, Italy are considered "royalty" due to their over 3,000-year existence and their role as police among the vampires.
Fanning expressed her excitement in joining the New Moon group.
"It would be really cool to do it. . . . I am a very big fan of the books. I read them all and Jane is an interesting part," said the new star, according to popeater.com.
The movie is set to be released on November 20.
