Britney Continues Her Comeback with a New Video
Britney Spears released the video for the song that radio stations are hesitant to play correctly; substituting "seek" for "see" in order to keep the song's hidden meaning, well, hidden. The video for the controversial song comes following the beginning of Spears's comeback tour, putting pressure on the video to be the best ever.
The video for "If U Seek Amy" premiered on Spears's official Web site on Thursday, according to People. The video begins with a news anchor condemning Spears's lyrics. The scene changes to what looks like a hotel party filled with half-naked party guests and bustier-wearing Spears singing on the bed. After a medley of seductive dance moves, Spears changed into an innocent, girl-next-door character complete with a preppy sweater tied around her shoulders.
MTV reports that while "Amy" can certainly be grouped with other sexy Spears videos such as "Toxic" and "I'm a Slave 4 U," it isn't her best ever but it is the most "Britney."
