Arrest Warrant Issued for Lindsay Lohan

Lohan's DUI incident gets her in trouble.

The Beverly Hills Superior Court has issued a $50,000 warrant for the arrest of actress Lindsay Lohan, the BBC reported.

"It is our hope that Miss Lohan will surrender herself so that this matter will be resolved in a timely manner," said a police statement issued to People Magazine. The exact reason for the warrant is unconfirmed, but police said that the warrant stems from Lohan's May 2007 arrest, in which she received charges of drunken driving and drug possession.

Lohan, 22, took a plea bargain and received a one-day sentence in prison, of which she served 84 minutes in November of 2007, according to the New York Daily News. The actress also received three years probation, and was ordered to complete an 18-month drug rehabilitation program.

Lohan's lawyer and publicist both declined comment to the AP. However, any violations of the probation requirements could ultimately result in jail time for Lohan.
