Wedding Rumors Swirl Around Reese Witherspoon

Tabloid magazine Star reports that Reese Witherspoon is engaged to boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal. Star claims that Witherspoon was seen wearing an engagement ring on her left ring finger when she arrived at a recent Los Angeles-based shoot for an Avon commercial.

"It was gorgeous, and everyone noticed it right away," tattles a source. "But she took it off as soon as she saw people staring. Reese stuffed it in her bag and didn't put it on again the rest of the day."

"There was already word out that she and Jake had gotten engaged, so the ring absolutely confirmed everybody's suspicions," another source added.

According to MSN Wonderwall, Gyllenhaal's representative said the engagement rumor "is false." A source close to Witherspoon agreed, saying the Star story is "absolutely not true."

The couple celebrates their two-year anniversary this month. In the April issue of Elle magazine, Witherspoon said Gyllenhaal "is fabulous. He really is a fantastic guy."
