Debra Messing Sued for $25,000

Actress, Debra Messing, is being named in a lawsuit for approximately $25,000 for an alleged car accident in April 2007.

In court filings obtained by Access Hollywood, the Will & Grace star is being named in a lawsuit claiming property and personal injury, which followed an April 2007 crash that occurred on the 101 Freeway near Encino, California.

The actress was reportedly absent from the scene.

The suit claimed that the defendant, Nshan Agazaryan, was driving Messing's car and had changed lanes "without warning." The defendant subsequently collided with the plaintiff, Adam Smith, who is a Highway Patrolman. Smith was riding his motorcycle at the time of the incident.

The plaintiff is suing for approximately $25,000 in damages caused by the accident. However, in a recent interview with TMZ, Smith's lawyer reported that they have spoken with Messing's lawyer, and have agreed to drop the actress from the lawsuit, today.
