Disney Is Being Sued
Most people would be happy to live near Disneyland, and its corporations. All the rides, the characters, the occasional fireworks. But not everybody is excited to live near the Magical Kingdom. According to TMZ.com, the most magical corporation in the world is being sued.
The Walt Disney Company is being sued by a family in Burbank, after the family claimed that Disney released heavy toxins through its air conditioning. Dennis Jackson has claimed the company's air conditioning system was fraught with wastewater, which worked its way through the surrounding neighborhoods, contaminating their waters.
The lawsuit was filed with L.A. Superior Court yesterday. The suit claims that Louise Jackson, who lived in a neighborhood close in proximity to the company, died from the pollutants. Now the residents in Disney's surrounding neighborhoods live in "terror of emissions." The suit also noted that Disney has used the same air conditioning system since 1957.
