Jon Hamm Joins Cast of Ginsberg Biopic
Jon Hamm may be better known as the face behind troubled Mad Man Don Draper. Now audiences will see another face to the actor--as famed attorney Jake Ehrlich.
According to Daily Variety, the role is part of a rounding out of an all-star cast in an Allen Ginsberg biopic that includes James Franco, Mary-Louise Parker, and Jeff Daniels.
The film--tentatively entitled Howl--will focus on the poet and Beat founder's 1956 obscenity trial for the controversial poem of the same name.
The project is currently being shot in New York City by indie film studio Werc Werk Works production company and directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman.
Hamm, 38, is no stranger to indie films. In 2007, he starred in the quirky satire, The Ten, a send-up of the Ten Commandments, as skydiving guide Chris Snarl.
