Katherine Heigl Confused About Her Future on "Grey's"

Katherine Heigl is unsure of whether or not her character will live or die.

Actress Katherine Heigl is unsure of what her future will be on ABC's hit drama, Grey's Anatomy, according to E! News.

Heigl commented on the future of her character in an AP report, saying, "I was assuming that [my character's days were numbered] at one point and I got a lot of shrugged shoulders and shakes of the head, so I don't know if that's a yes or a no. No one will tell me and I don't know how this is going to go. I don't know if I live or die. I don't know how Izzie fares."

Several reports have surfaced, starting last summer, saying that Heigl's character was set to be killed off. Recently on the show, Heigl's character, Dr. Izzie Stevens, was diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic cancer in her brain and liver.

Other rumors were swirling that Heigl wanted out of her contract and that's why she was being killed off the show.

The cancer diagnosis is at the heart of the show's fresh creative rebirth. Heigl called the set, "one of my favorite places to be."
