Heigl Hopes to Stick Around Seattle Grace
Despite past rumors about "Grey's Anatomy" star Katherine Heigl leaving the show, the actress is happy and willing to stay if her character makes it through brain surgery.
Heigl doesn't know what will happen to her character, Izzie Stevens, who has been diagnosed with stage IV metastatic cancer in her brain and liver, according to E! Online. Grey's Anatomy producer and creator Shonda Rimes has kept Izzie's fate a secret, not even letting Heigl in on what will come.
"No one will tell me and I don't know how this is going to go. I don't know if I live or die. I don't know how Izzie fares," Heigl said at a party celebrating the show's 100th episode, according to the Huffington Post.
If Izzie survives, Heigl says she wants to stick around as long as the show will have her. Heigl calls the Grey's set one of her favorite places to be and says all of her colleagues are her friends, according to Us magazine.
