Heigl Wants to Stay on "Grey's"
Despite rumors stating otherwise, actress Katherine Heigl says she wants to continue working on Grey's Anatomy.
Whether or not she will remain on the show is still up in the air. Heigl's character, Izzie Stevens, is suffering from metastatic melanoma, a skin cancer that spread to her brain. In this past Thursday's episode, Izzie survived brain surgery.
The 30-year-old actress said she's "there" if the show still wants her and that she enjoys being on the set. Heigl isn't even sure what will happen to her character.
She told the Associated Press, "I was assuming that [Izzie would die] at one point, and I got a lot of shrugged shoulders and shakes of the head, so I don't know if that's a yes or a no."
The decision about Izzie's survival is up to producer Shonda Rhimes.
