Incredible Hulk John Cena Discusses New Film, "12 Rounds"
World Wrestling Entertainment champion John Cena talks about his second movie, 12 Rounds, which opened Friday. Renny Harlin (The Covenant, 2006) directed the film.
Cena, who like Jackie Chan, did his own stunts (or had to anyway), said he was able to show more depth and vulnerability in character. He then added, "But at the same time still show all the qualities you need to save the day."
The incredible hulk, who stands at 6'1" and weighs 240 pounds, mentioned that during the making of the action-packed film, being 10 stories high frightened him, as stated by the Los Angeles Times. "I can look straight out, but I can't look straight down," the Massachusetts native said.
Throughout the entire picture, New Orleans officer Danny Fisher (Cena) is running for his life from detonators and bullets, while simultaneously trying to outsmart nemesis and ex-con Miles Jackson (Aidan Gillen), the Courier Post Online said.
Fisher's fight for survival begins after he accidentally murders Jackson's girlfriend, in the process of attempting to terminate a million-dollar heist conceived by Jackson, according to IMDb.com.
Just as he pumps iron, Mr. Strong pumps work. He told People magazine that he wants to be the first man to perform two full-time jobs.
Cena, who starred in the 2006 motion picture, The Marine, said he has no intention of forsaking professional wrestling anytime soon, but added, "I'm not going to do movies as a hobby. I really want to devote 100-percent effort into any project I get involved with."
