Project Runway Will Return

Fans of the hit reality TV show, "Project Runway," will be delighted to know that the lawsuit has been resolved and the show is set to air its sixth season.

Legal issues between NBC Universal, owner of the network on which Runway has aired for the past five seasons, the Weinstein Company, and Lifetime have kept fans wondering whether the designer competition would be returning for another season.

The Associated Press reports that on Wednesday, a statement was issued saying that Weinstein will pay NBC for the right to air Runway on Lifetime. The Weinstein Company's settlement fee to NBC stands as an acknowledgement that the company had sold the show to another network without letting NBC match the offer, according to the New York Times.

The new season has not only changed networks, but it also changed locations. Moving from New York to Los Angeles, season six will take full advantage of its west coast locale and focus on Hollywood, according to People magazine. There will be guest appearances by Christina Aguilera, Eva Longoria Parker and Rebecca Romijn.

The agreement with Lifetime assures that Runway will have five years on the network, beginning with season six. Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia will return as the season kicks off this summer.

Lifetime has also announced that they will air a spin-off show, Models of the Runway, according to E! Online.
