Former “Grey’s Anatomy” Star Is Evicted from His Home
1-Apr-2009
Written by: Bridget Campos

Actor Isaiah Washington and his family have been forced to move out of their Los Angeles home.

The 45-year-old TV star and his wife, Jenisa Marie Washington, left their home a week after receiving an eviction notice for failing to pay more than $100,000 in back rent, according to E! Online.

The owner of the property, Kevin McCauley of Sandalwood Properties, claims that the couple has failed to pay the $20,000 monthly rent-to-own payments since November of last year.

On March 19, the landlord gave Washington a three day notice to pay the overdue rent or “quit.” Since Washington failed to respond, McCauley was forced to take legal action on March 24.

McCauley told RadarOnline.com about regretting having to take legal actions on the matter. He said, “They are very nice people, this is an unfortunate matter.”

The court date has been scheduled for April 8 in regards to the back rent.
