Slumdog Millionaire star Anil Kapoor joins cast of "24"
People.com reports that Indian actor Anil Kapoor, who played the game show host in "Slumdog Millionaire," will be joining the cast of "24."
Kapoor will be playing a Middle Eastern leader visiting the U.S. on a political peace mission on Fox's eighth season of hit suspense show "24." This will be Kapoor's first job in American TV, the HollywoodReporter.com reports.
Kapoor is an icon in his homeland of India, starring in over 100 Bollywood films. He gained global attention for his role as game show host Prem Kumar in the year's Oscar-winning "Slumdog Millionaire."
"Slumdog Millionaire" received eight Oscars, including Best Picture. For those who have still not seen the Academy Award winning film, it was recently released to video and is now available for purchase and rental.
