PJ and Bobby: will they or won’t they?
The third season of the TBS show “My Boys” opened with a lot of change, but really no change at all. When last season ended, Bobby was about to make the mistake of marrying Elsa in Arizona, Mike was hooking up with an older woman, Kenny and Stephanie slept together, and PJ was finally alone with Bobby’s brother Jack. However, everything is interrupted when Bobby knocks on PJ’s door the night before the wedding and claims he thinks he’s marrying the wrong woman. Bobby leaves when he sees Jack in her room, but the next morning the wedding is off. Bobby leaves to go to his three week honeymoon alone while PJ and the guys return to Chicago. As the guys have a mustache growing contest, PJ contemplates what Bobby meant by coming to her room at his wedding, hoping it meant he still has feelings for her. When he comes home, PJ decides that no matter how crazy it makes her sound, she has to tell him that she likes him. As she starts to say that she likes him, Bobby suddenly kisses her.
“My Boys” is always a refreshing, relaxing, non-threatening show to watch, and this episode did not disappoint. After the crazy unexpected drama between Bobby and Elsa last season, it was good to have an episode to just bring everyone back to the status quo. Bobby and PJ’s undeniable chemistry has finally been addressed, and it was a great moment. Whether or not they work out, this season is bound to be exciting.
