The Rolling Stones to Re-release 14 Albums
According to RollingStone.com, the Rolling Stones have announced they will be re-releasing their 14 latest albums. They will be released in groups of four starting March 4th with "Sticky Fingers," "Goat Head's Soup," "It's Only Rock N' Roll" and "Black and Blue."
When the Stones left EMI/Virgin Records for Universal in July of 2008 they kept the rights to re-release their music from 1971's "Sticky Fingers" to 2005's a "Bigger Bang."
Universal Music Group executive vice president Max Hole said "The Rolling Stones redefined music. By making these iconic albums available again and retaining the essence of the original track listings and sleeve design we believe that music fans will rediscover just why they are the world's greatest rock & roll band," reports Rolling Stone.
