Fall Out Boy Rocks First Concert of U.S. Tour

Fall Out Boy performs first concert of their U.S. tour in Arizona last night.

Chicago-based rockers Fall Out Boy kicked off their American tour last night in Arizona with an energy-fueled performance, Spin.com reports.

After opening sets by Metro Station, Cobra Starship and All Time Low, the quartet began their set with a projector playing scenes of protests in different cities. Spin reports the concert fit a whole 20 songs within a span of 90 minutes, including hits such as 'Dance, Dance' and 'This Ain't a Scene, It's An Arms Race.' They began 'A Little Less Than 16 Candles,' with bassist Pete Wentz introducing the song with "This is an old song, but we're gonna play it anyway, because every song makes money, so shut the f**k up."

Their dead-on musical performance was highlighted by a psychedelic light show and intimate interactions with the audience. Spin reports Wentz also told the crowd "There's a lot of people who got really rich by making a lot of other people very poor," asking the audience to "look at places like the Congo and Uganda" before the band launched into 'Sugar, We're Goin Down.'

Wentz is married to Ashlee Simpson, who sang along backstage. Fall Out Boy also performed several songs from their newest album, Folie ... Deux.
