It seems that every aspect of society today has hit a depression, and television is no different. According to tvsquad.com, major TV networks are planning to release their fall schedule next month, and several popular shows appear to be on the fence or even worse, cancelled.
For ABC, most would guess that immensely popular shows Lost, Desperate Housewives, and Grey's Anatomy are all going to be around next fall. But Christina Applegate's Samantha Who? is on the fence, or as the industry would say, "on the bubble," aptly named for an NBC exec in the '50s.
For NBC, it seems that crowd favorites 30 Rock, The Office, and Heroes will be back, but shows like Chuck and My Name Is Earl might not be making a come back.
The Mentalist, Two and a Half Men, and all CSI's are likely to continue on CBS's lineup, while long-running Cold Case and Without a Trace seem to be on the chopping block. Other shows that may be cancelled or on the bubble include Fox's Dollhouse, and the CW's Privileged.
