Susan Boyle's Competition

Britain's latest sweetheart may not have "Britain's Got Talent" sewed up after all.

For a while, it seemed like singing sensation Susan Boyle had Britain's Got Talent all wrapped up. But now she appears to have some competition from another unusual singer.

Shaheen Jafargholi, 12, sang a gospel version of "Who's Loving You," by Michael Jackson, reports Entertainment Weekly.

But originally, Jafargholi sang "Valerie," by Amy Winehouse, his grandfather's favorite song, according to talent.itv.com. Judge Simon Cowell stopped him in the middle of his performance to ask him if he sang anything else. Jafargholi responded that he sang "Who's Loving You," and Cowell requested, to the shock of everyone else, that he sing that instead.

Suddenly, the performance goes from average to extraordinary as the boy bursts into song, holding the first note for a good amount of time. Once again, Cowell proves that he knows what he's talking about, despite how crazy he might seem.

"This is how one song can change your life. This may be the start of something special for you, young man," Cowell said.
