ABC Announces Show Renewals

ABC announces next year's lineup, which shows will be renewed and which will not be coming back.

Fear not, Lost fans. ABC announced today which shows will be coming back for another season – and which won't. Among the returning favorites are Grey's Anatomy, Lost, Dancing with the Stars, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Desperate Housewives and The Bachelor, TV.com reports.

Several shows outside the spotlight are also returning, Wife Swap, Brothers and Sisters, Supernanny and also Private Practice, the Grey's Anatomy spin-off. Private Practice picked up when it was moved to Thursday night right after Grey's.

Those who didn't make the list were ABC's flailing newcomers, Better Off Ted, The Unusuals, Castle and In the Motherhood, reports hollywoodreporter.com.

Ugly Betty was on the rocks for a bit after being bumped, but ABC Entertainment President Steve McPherson assured fans the show will be returning. Several other comedies were tried out in Betty's 8 p.m. spot, but did not catch on.
