The Hills Will Be Returning in the Fall Without Lauren Conrad
Earlier this morning, MTV announced that their immensely popular show, The Hills, will be returning in the fall without Lauren Conrad. The decision was entirely up to her and she reportedly had been hoping to get away from the show for quite some time. Conrad described her choice to ultimately leave the show for good as, "bittersweet," according to Us Weekly.
Several familiar faces such as Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Audrina Patridge and Brody Jenner will be returning to the show in the fall, as well as many other new characters. Reportedly, the show's focus will shift from Conrad to Montag and Pratt's relationship since they are now newlyweds as of last Saturday.
The premise of the fall season will involve the various relationships and loyalties that exist between the characters on the show. The stars of one of MTV's most watched program's apparently believe that the popularity of The Hills will remain intact despite the fact that the show's main character is leaving.
Montag provided a statement in regards to her friend leaving the show, saying, "I just don't know if we need her," she said. "I know she hasn't been wanting to be doing this for a while so I think it's a closing chapter for her. I'm sure she'll have fun and success."
Conrad apparently plans on continuing her career in the fashion world by designing a clothing line for Kohl's.
