“Octomom the Musical” will be shown at a small Los Angeles theater.
Nadya Suleman’s birth to octuplets has inspired a Los Angeles musical. “Octomom the Musical,” written and directed by Chris Voltaire, will run for 10 weeks starting June at a small Los Angeles theater. The musical is being advertised as “a small epic of our strange times,” according to the Whittier Daily News.
Auditions to be part of the cast are being held now. TMZ reported that they are looking to cast someone “who is ‘funny’ and ‘whimsical’ and can ‘command authority.’”
In an interview with KTLA news, Voltaire revealed some sneak peeks about the musical and said that it would be great if Suleman wants to star in the play. It would show she has a sense of humor, he said. He did warn her though that the gig doesn’t pay much.
What else can the audience expect from this musical? Voltaire revealed that there would be babies flying over the audience and that people in the front two rows can expect to get wet during the delivery scene.
Tickets are priced at $20 for online purchases and $30 at the door.
