Lane Garrison Visits Jessica Simpson's Family After His Release from Prison

The former "Prison Break" actor was released from prison yesterday and he visited the Simpson family before entering rehabilitation.

Back in December of 2006, former Prison Break actor Lane Garrison was driving a 2001 Land Rover while intoxicated when he lost control of the vehicle and slammed into a tree. There were three passengers inside of the vehicle along with Garrison and one of them, 17-year-old Vahagn Setian, was tragically killed from the impact of the accident. The other two passengers sustained injuries but luckily, they survived the crash.

Garrison pled guilty to vehicular manslaughter and drunken driving charges and was sentenced to 40 months in the California Correctional Institute, according to Entertainment Weekly. However, since Garrison was released yesterday, he ended up serving less than half of his sentence as a result of good behavior.

After he was released from prison on Wednesday morning, Garrison paid a visit to the family of Jessica Simpson for approximately three and a half hours, according to Access Hollywood. Jessica's father, Joe Simpson, served as Lane Garrison's youth minister when he was growing up and the family apparently welcomed the remorseful Garrison into their home.

Once his visit had concluded, Garrison reportedly headed straight to a Tarzana rehabilitation facility. The former star of Prison Break settled out of court last week, agreeing to financial settlements with the surviving passengers as well as Setian's family.
