Julianne Hough Leaving "Dancing with the Stars"

The budding country star announced she will not be returning to the show following her elimination Tuesday.

According to People, Dancing with the Stars dancer Julianne Hough, 20, will not be participating in the show anymore.

Hough and her partner, Chuck Wicks, were eliminated from the competition on Tuesday's episode.

Hough said, "I'm not doing next season. I'm gonna take one off." Hough didn't want to participate in this past season, but the show's producers convinced her to stay by pairing her up with Wicks, her boyfriend. Hough said of the competition, "We definitely went further than anticipated. I think he could have made it a little bit further, but you know what? It's the name of the game and it's about fan base and hopefully our country fans will follow us into music."

Hough is scheduled to start a new tour in Hidalgo, Texas, on May 9, with tour dates stretching through the summer season.
