Kelly Rowland Set to Co-Host "Fashion Show"
Bravo may have lost Project Runway to Lifetime, but it has gained a new fashion show. Called The Fashion Show, it will feature 15 up-and-coming designers competing to market and sell their own lines. While there will be a panel of judges, which includes Kelly Rowland, designer Isaac Mizrahi and creator of the New York Fashion Week Fern Mallis, the studio audience will get to vote and cast off a designer each week. The ultimate winner will be determined by home audiences after a live season finale, People.com reports.
"I think what makes The Fashion Show so unique is that it's the people's decision, and not only that but it's a real show for real people," Rowland said on a recent conference call. "This is coming from the consumer's point of view what they like, how it fits, how creative it is."
Added Mallis: "The real truth is that no matter how fabulous any fashion show is, it doesn't matter if people don't wear and buy the clothes."
The Fashion Show debuts tonight at 10 p.m.
