Joel Madden Rants About the Paparazzi on Twitter
7-May-2009
Written by: Sharon Ng

The paparazzi are “animals,” according to Joel Madden.

After the paparazzi scared his daughter at a Miami airport, Good Charlotte front man Joel Madden is using Twitter to rant about the experience, MSN Wonderwall reports.

Madden claimed the paparazzi “were acting like animals” when he landed in Miami earlier this week with his pregnant girlfriend, Nicole Richie, and their 15-month-old daughter, Harlow.

“It was the first time I’ve ever seen my child scared,” says Madden. “These guys were sticking flashes in her face and bumping into us and yelling. The most unnecessary force I’ve ever seen.”

However, Madden did not retaliate. He says he was able to keep his cool because “you can’t get violent in front of kids. That’s a rule with me. Never lose my temper. Never will.”

While he insists that Harlow is “just fine,” Madden chastises “any magazine or blog” that uses the pictures taken during the airport run-in.

Nicole Richie had a different take on the experience though.

“I have to say, I love Miami! Never has work been this much fun,” she gushed on her blog.

The family was in town to promote her new jewelry line, House of Harlow.
