The Company Men Adds More Stars
Maria Bello from The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor and Craig T. Nelson from Blades of Glory have just been announced as additions to the cast of The Company Men, according to Variety magazine. An independently financed drama, Company explores the impact that a downsizing company has on everything around it, a very relevant topic.
Ben Affleck, Kevin Costner and Tommy Lee Jones are already part of the cast. The film is being produced in Boston. John Wells wrote the script and will direct. This will be his first foray into major movie directing after some stints with television. Wells is no stranger to the industry though, with over 50 production credits in film and television, including White Oleander and E.R.
Bello will star as a human resources worker forced to fire Affleck's character, which puts a dent in his Porsche-driving lifestyle. Costner is Affleck's brother-in-law who works construction. Nelson is the CEO of the corporation and Jones is a partner in the firm with real principles.
