Fox Announces New Fall Schedule

Complete with new comedies, dramas and a late night talk show, Fox anticipates a successful fall season.

Ending the season as television's second most popular network, still largely due to American Idol viewership despite the show's slowly decreasing popularity, Fox announced its finalized fall schedule, Monday.

After much contemplation, Fox was the first broadcast network to reveal its lineup which includes six new series compiled of four comedies and two dramas, according to the Associated Press.

Three comedies, Glee, which uses song and dance to follow a high school choir; Brothers, the story of a former football pro who returns home to his mom and crippled brother who owns a restaurant; and The Cleveland Show, which stars the animated Cleveland Brown (Mike Henry) from Family Guy, will premiere midseason.

Launching this spring are the two dramas, Human Target and Past Life. Human Target is an action-inspired story of a private security guard/contractor, based on the DC Comics graphic novel, and Past Life is based on the novel, The Reincarnationist, starring a mystery-solving psychiatrist who uses "the science of the soul" to crack the case.

The final spring comedy is Sons of Tucson. After their real dad is sent to jail, three brothers decide that they should hire someone else to play the fatherly figure.

Saturday nights introduce the season-long The Wanda Sykes Show, which will replace MADtv, reports philly.com.

Although the pricey sci-fi show, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, has been cancelled, fans will be happy to hear that Joss Whedon's Dollhouse is back for another season along with the beloved So You Think You Can Dance.
