Medium Is Not Dead Yet

NBC's "Medium" picked-up by CBS for fall lineup.

CBS is seeing dead people. At least, it will be with the new fall lineup for 2009-2010.

According to The Associated Press, "Medium" will be given new life at CBS after being canceled by NBC this year. The show, featuring actress Patricia Arquette, will be running on Friday nights along with "Ghost Whisperer."

Even with advertisements and revenue down this year, CBS seems to be doing well compared to other stations.

Retuers.com says that CBS was the only network on broadcast television to actually increase its ratings last season. However, the website also confirmed that CBS Corp had a 65 percent decrease in shares over the last year.

CBS also plans to make more changes to the lineup other than picking-up NBC's rejects.

The New York Daily News reports that CBS will be adding an additional four new shows to the fall lineup, and more programs later on in the season, including two dramas and two reality shows.

With what appears to be a dying economy, death certainly seems to be the television trend. At least it could be on CBS's new Friday nights.
