Zach Braff Set to Star in "Swingles"
Zach Braff in negotiations to direct and write script.
According to Daily Variety, Scrubs actor Zach Braff is in negotiations to direct and play a supporting role in the romantic comedy, Swingles, opposite Cameron Diaz.
The story, based on a draft made by Duncan Birmingham, is about a bachelor who is dumped by his wingman and teams up with a sharp-tongued womanplayed by Diazwho helps him meet singles.
Kevin Misher, of the upcoming film, Public Enemies, will produce the film.
It is the second movie the actor will direct and script. In 2004, Braff directed and produced Garden State. Swingles marks the first time that Braff has starred opposite Diaz.
Braffwho directed a chapter of the upcoming film, New York, I Love Youhas inked a deal with ABC to star in his last six episodes on Scrubs.
