British Actress Lucy Gordon Found Dead in Apparent Suicide

Lucy Gordon, who was in the 2001 movie, Serendipity, and more recently was seen in Spider-Man 3, was found dead in her apartment on Wednesday, the Telegraph reports.

The 28-year-old British actress appears to have hanged herself. According to police, neighbors overheard Gordon fighting with her boyfriend on Tuesday evening. Her boyfriend, whose name has yet to be released, told police he went to bed and woke up to find Gordon hanging from the ceiling of their apartment in Paris, the Daily Mail reports.

Gordon, who would have been 29 on Friday, was a former Cover Girl model, and had been living in Paris to film Vie Heroique, a biopic currently showing at the Cannes Film Festival. The film is set to be released next year.

The actress recently lost a close friend to suicide, and her boyfriend told police that she was "seriously troubled by the loss," the New York Daily News reports. An autopsy has been ordered.
