Bristol Palin Puts Her Baby First

Palin hopes to make amends with ex-fiance for Tripp's sake.

After a media tidal wave hit Gov. Sarah Palin's daughter, Bristol, the tide finally seems to be settling down.

In a recent interview with People magazine, Palin brought up graduating high school, being a teenage mother and trying to make peace with her ex fiance, Levi Johnston.

Palin is determined to make amends with Johnston for the sake of their son, Tripp, who is now 5 months old. The two are currently working on visitation and child support matters.

According to People.com, Palin does not use her mother's status to get out of being a hardworking young mother. There is no nanny being hired to watch the baby, and Palin must sacrifice sleep, her young social life and her public speaking affairs to care for her son.

Palin has been touring the country when she has time to talk to teens about abstinence, a cause that she believes could prevent more teenage pregnancies.
