Sugar Ray Gets Ready for a New Album and a New Tour

After four years of a band hiatus, Sugar Ray reunites to promote their new album and perform for a new summer tour.
The band, who has been together for 21 years, is releasing their sixth album, Music for Cougars, on July 21. Directly after the release, they are beginning their summer tour.
The trek starts on July 24 in Hankinson, North Dakota’s Dakota Magic Casino, and ends on September 26 at the San Diego, California’s Hard Rock Café.
Mark McGrath, Sugar Ray front man, told LiveDaily.com, “We built into our work ethic to have fun. . . . That fun embodiment has always been an integral part of the band and a real contributor to the fact that we’ve been around for so long.”
Sugar Ray’s self-titled album, which was released in 2001, reached the sixth position in the U.S. charts and reached a Gold certification. Their hit singles, “Someday,” “When It’s Over,” and “Fly,” hit the top ten singles charts in the U.S.
