“The Details” Rounds Up Mega Cast

James McAvoy, Laura Linney and Elizabeth Banks team up for new film.
The Details recently signed James McAvoy, Laura Linney, Elizabeth Banks and Anna Friel for the black comedy's cast. Jacob Estes is serving as director for the independently financed film. Estes wrote and directed the award-winning Mean Creek in 2004, starring Rory Culkin and called the Deliverance of a new generation.
The Details looks at a couple (McAvoy and Banks) who have found a raccoon infestation and aren't quite sure how to solve the problem. The duo's actions to rid their lives of the raccoon spiral out of control and force other strange events to come about.
Its stars have all had extremely successful years as of late: McAvoy's star turning performance in Atonement and box office success in Wanted; Linney found award season her own season with the critical praise of the mini-series John Adams; Banks starred in many films including W. and Role Models; Friel will star in this summer's Land of the Lost.
The film is set to begin this summer in Seattle.
