“Clueless” helps parents understand their children and the media influences of today.
The new documentary, Clueless, does not star Alicia Silverstone but does take a closer look at teenagers and what makes them tick. Producer Michael Tollin of Varsity Blues and Coach Carter fame is running the project directed by Bill Couturié, from Ed, starring Matt LaBlanc.
Clueless is meant to take a closer look into today's kids' world, heavily influenced by media, according to Variety magazine.
Common Sense Media is also playing a part in the film's production. The group is a non-profit organization that looks at the exact issues Clueless will focus on.
The title of the documentary refers to parents of teens who are unaware of what goes on in their lives. Things like "sexting," sexy text messaging, and Internet activities will be discussed.
The feature is set to be released in 2010.
