Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig to Work Together in the Big Apple
27-May-2009
Written by: Gina Ferrara

Jackman and Craig take the stage.

Entertainment Weekly reports that leading men of Hollywood, Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig, will be working on a new piece on Broadway, titled A Steady Rain, a play about two policemen in Chicago who encounter a domestic dispute that threatens to end their friendship.

A Steady Rain started out as a small-deal production in Chicago in 2007 but gained enough attention to run several months at the Royal George Cabaret Theatre, according to ChicagoTribune.com. The Tribune called it an “exceptionally rich, gritty, and emotional drama,” with a great story. Keith Huff, the creator of the play, has had much experience in producing drama but this is the first time his creation has made it to Broadway, says the Associated Press.

Hugh Jackman has had previous success on Broadway as Peter Allen in the flamboyant musical, The Boy from Oz, but this will be Daniel Craig’s first appearance on the stage.
